New York Life Names Daniel Hibma Overall Winner of National College Internship Summer Contest

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--November 1, 2000--New York Life Insurance Company announced today that Daniel Hibma, a senior at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, is the overall winner of the company`s College Internship Summer Contest. Hibma was selected based on his ability to submit the highest number of life insurance applications for the period between June 1 and August 31, 2000. He submitted 27.55 applications in this short time span.

New York Life`s Internship Program attracted some 300 students from across the country this year. Interns obtain the skills they need to become successful agents through regular one-on-one contact with agent mentors, the active involvement of NYL training managers and careful supervision from NYL management. During the program, students are able to obtain their agent license and begin working with clients.
