When children are suffering from allergy symptoms, parents want to do what they can to help.  Results from a new survey show what mothers are most concerned about when it comes to their kids allergies.

It may be the season for kids runny noses and sneezing, but do parents know whether its a cold or allergies?  According to a new nationwide survey, three out of five moms say its not easy to tell if a young child has a cold or is suffering from allergy symptoms.  In fact, allergies affect 40 percent of children and account for an estimated two million lost school days each year.   Doctor Kathryn Beattie, a pediatrician, talks about the importance of treating your childs allergy symptoms:

There are treatments available, even for children as young as six months. The F-D-A has approved Clarinex syrup, which is now available. And its really important to treat that childs allergy symptoms so that they can wake up with their symptoms under control in the morning, feel good, go to preschool, play outside and move on about their lives.

Allergies are the most frequently reported chronic condition in children and  may be associated with other, more serious health conditions, such as asthma.  If you think your child has allergies,

See a pediatrician or allergist.  For more information, visit w-w-w-dot-allergyrelief-dot-com.

With the spring allergy season fast approaching, now is the time for parents to check with a physician to find out whats causing their childs symptoms.
