Athletes To Appear on Honey Nut Cheerios Boxes

Borrowing a page from Wheaties, Honey Nut Cheerios is about to put an athlete on the cover of its cereal box.  He�s NASCAR Truck Series driver Bill Lester, the first driver from the NASCAR truck series and the first African American driver ever to appear on his own cereal package:

�I think it�s tremendous, I mean, it�s really a testament that what I�m doing individually as a driver and what the Dodge Bobby Hamilton racing team is doing out there on the track, is something that�s being taken note of.  And to have a major corporation such as, General Mills and their brand, Honey Nut Cheerios, being on my truck is just really a significant situation, because my face is going to be on breakfast tables all across the country and, you know, kids can aspire to maybe do something like what I�m doing which is racing or whatever it is they want to do.  You know, if I can do it, again, anybody can do it.�

The special edition 14-ounce Honey Nut Cheerios packages with Lester on the cover will only be available in the Southeastern U.S.
