The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and National Philanthropic Trust today announce that the breast cancer three-day walks have gone national, with ten events scheduled for 2004 in major cities across the country.  The events are expected to raise millions of dollars to support breast cancer research and local education and outreach programs.  Patrice Tosi, Executive Vice President of the Komen Foundation:

This year, forty thousand women will die of breast cancer. By participating in the three-day walk, supporting a participant or volunteering at the event, the breast cancer three-day offers many ways to make a personal difference in the fight against the disease.  Join us in this life-changing experience, and know that you will help save the lives of women across the country.

At each breast cancer three-day event, thousands of people together walk 20 miles a day for three days to help battle breast cancer.   For more information, visit w-w-w-dot-the three day-dot-org, or call 1-800-996-3day.
