As the national representative for the legal profession, members of the American Bar Association will be debating key legal issues and voting on new policy. Among the measures to be discussed is a proposal urging the department of defense to revise rules for military tribunals to assure that so-called enemy combatants can receive the effective legal assistance of civilian defense lawyers.
