At least one student in every classroom in America has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD.  The beginning of a new school year can be especially difficult for these children and their parents.  Experts say that it is important to recognize and celebrate the small, everyday accomplishments of children with ADHD who are trying to overcome the challenges they face.  Dr. Andrew Adesman, director, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Center, Schneider Childrens Hospital, New York:

The key to academic and personal success for a child with ADHD stems from having others recognize all of the childs accomplishments, big and small.  When a child with ADHD overcomes a particular challenge and their hard work is celebrated, it will motivate them to always strive for their personal best.

The I See Success scholarship contest provides an opportunity for parents to celebrate the successes of children with ADHD by recognizing their everyday academic, personal and extra-curricular achievements.  More than $250,000 total will be awarded to winners for an educational savings account.  Entry forms and the full official rules are available at www.focusonadhd.com or call 1-888-440-7903.
