�American workers tend to fall into one of three snacking categories: First, we have the �squirrels� and they�re the ones who stash away food they bring into eat at work. Then, secondly, you have the �gophers� and they actually go out and they get the goods while they�re on the job and then the �vultures� on the other hand, they circle the work place eating areas looking for leftovers and they grab any food they can find laying around. But, you know, whatever your snacking style it�s important to make smart choices to keep you going throughout the day. So I recommend to my patients that they throw an apple in their bag or try a nutritional beverage like Ensure, which actually has 24 vitamins and minerals, or even a small bag of nuts. All of these will help to keep you energized and you�ll be much more productive on the job.�
The survey also shows that nearly one-third of America�s workforce skip meals almost every day of the workweek and 89 percent snack at least once during each workday.
