A nationally-renowned cancer education program is now available at the click of a mouse.  The Cancer Survival Toolbox, voted one of the most useful advocacy programs for cancer survivors, now has its own interactive web site, www.cancersurvivaltoolbox.org.   Produced by the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship and the Oncology Nursing Society, the toolbox encourages those with cancer and their caregivers to take a more active role in their care and treatment.  Debra Thaler Demers, oncology nurse and cancer survivor who helped develop the toolbox:

This new website introduces the next logical step for the Toolbox, helping survivors to take advantage of the knowledge, skills and experience of professionals and fellow survivors all in the privacy of their own home.  Its a tremendous resource.

The Cancer Survival Toolbox was the winner of the Gold Star Award, the National Cancer Institutes highest award for patient education.
