Flight Simulator 2004 Features Classic DC3 Airliner

In 1903, the Wright brothers left their footprints in the North Carolina sand and their mark on the world.  Now, one hundred years later the invention of powered flight ranks among the most significant moments in human history.
 
Built in 1935, the Douglas D-C-3 was the first modern commercial airliner and the first to have passenger amenities such as heat, bathrooms and running water.  With its shiny aluminum skin and graceful lines, the D-C-3 remains one of the most beautiful and charismatic planes ever built.  Renowned Stunt Pilot Patty Wagstaff:

"Well, the D-C-3 is an amazing airplane and it brought us into this era of high-speed, luxury travel and these are the people that probably always took ships and trains and all of a sudden here was the D-C-3 offering them the same kind of luxury they could get on those forms of transportation and putting them in the air for the first time - so it really was the beginning of the airline industry."
