From Collegiate Presswire's RadioWire (https://www.cpwire.com/radio): Radio Celebrating a decade of giving, the Northwestern Mutual Foundation has recognized 19 individuals as �Outstanding Volunteers� for 2004. Open to more than 79-hundred representatives of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, the program honored Ron Knox, from Brentwood, Tennessee, with its top award, �Most Exceptional Volunteer� for his 12 years of service to the Y-M-C-A of Middle Tennessee:
�Part of what we�re all about is trying to help other people and make differences in other people�s lives and the Y-M-C-A has proven to be a wonder way for me to contribute and try to help people in the community.�
As Most Exceptional Volunteer, Knox will receive a 25-thousand dollar grant for the Middle Tennessee Y-M-C-A. Each of the other 19 outstanding volunteers will receive 10-thousand dollar grants. Since the program�s inception in 1994, the Northwestern Mutual Foundation has awarded one-point-six million dollars.
