The  Summer Olympics kick off soon, but Olympians arent the only ones who need more power in their diet.

Many lean protein choices help you pack more powerful nutrients into fewer calories, so you can easily follow a diet fit for an Olympian.  The latest U.S.D.A. data shows there are 19 cuts of beef that meet guidelines for lean, including strip steak, tenderloin, top sirloin, t-bone steak and flank.  Plus, beef contains nine essential nutrients, like iron and zinc, that people need each day.  Dayle Hayes, registered dietitian and member of the
Council for Women's
Nutrition Solutions:

"Beef is changing, it's simply not your father's steak anymore. Many people are surprised to learn that some of their favorite cuts are lean. And, twelve of the lean cuts have, on average, just one more gram or less of saturated fat than a skinless chicken breast per three ounce serving."

These cuts have just 4.5 grams or less of saturated fat and less than 95 milligrams of cholesterol per serving. To look for leaner beef, log on to beefitswhatsfordinner- dot-com and download your new Lean List wallet card.
