Along with its critical mission of protecting U.S. Air Space, NORAD teams up with America Online to perform this special duty for internet users around the world, using radar, satellites and Santa cams. Live video clips of Saint Nick as he makes key stops across the globe will be fed to a special Santa tracker web site hosted by America Online. Stephanie Cullen from AOL:

Last year the NORAD received more than 712 million hits on Christmas Eve and NORAD and AOL expect record traffic this year.
