A survey by A.G Edwards, one of the nation�s largest investment firms, discovered 39 percent trust themselves most, followed by a financial advisor, a parent and finally, their spouse. �These findings also reflect how challenging it can be to keep the lines of communication open between spouses, particularly when it comes to finances. While we certainly trust them, we don�t necessarily feel comfortable discussing money issues with our spouses.�
Nearly three out of four Americans worry about having enough money on hand to cover a job loss or a major illness and few are prepared to meet such an emergency. Those who have a financial advisor are better prepared than those who don�t.
