After a massive earthquake triggered deadly tsunamis throughout Asia, aid agencies are helping millions cope with this unprecedented tragedy.  World Vision is an international Christian relief and development organization, and has permanent staff and aid supplies in dozens of devastated communities in Sri Lanka, India, and Bangladesh.

Rina Samuel, a World Vision relief worker in India, reports:

Millions of people have lost their homes here, their livelihood and loved ones.

World Vision is one of several organizations providing food, blankets, medical supplies and other urgently needed items.  With more than five thousand staff in the region, World Vision is helping meet the immediate needs of thousands of survivors.  Thats only the beginning:

Itll take the earth to restore their life; their broken hearts may never heal.

People interested in helping are being asked to call toll-free 888-56-child, or visit w-w-w-dot-worldvision-dot-org.
