According to ancient Chinese tradition, February 9th marks the "Year of the Rooster" ringing in a month-long celebration of family gatherings and citrus-infused feasts for good fortune and prosperity in the Chinese Lunar New Year.  Master Chef Martin Yan, host of "Martin Yan's Quick and Easy," shares his favorite, simple citrus recipes for the holiday:

"Impress your guests this month with one of my favorite recipes using fresh citrus: New Year's Firecracker Prawns.  It is an easy recipe using conventional ingredients from your pantry - soy sauce, cornstarch; fresh squeezed orange and lemon juice, garlic, ketchup, chicken broth, peppers, onions, and chilies.  Simple marinate the shrimp in soy for 10 minutes and then stir fry with the other ingredients.  It takes just minutes till it's ready to enjoy."

To prepare the best Lunar New Year meal possible, make sure that you only use the freshest and best quality citrus, such as that from Sunkist.  Chef Yan's recipe, along with other Chinese Lunar New Year tips, can be found at w-w-w-sunkist-dot-com.
