But before getting started, they probably need to add one item to that to-do list: Get a tetanus booster. Tetanus is a potentially fatal disease and the bacteria can be found everywhere. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than half of injuries resulting in tetanus infections happen indoors or at home. But less than half of adults over the age of 20 are protected against tetanus and diphtheria, another potentially fatal disease.
