With retirement age fast approaching for many Baby Boomers, those who haven�t begun planning for their so-called �golden years� are getting anxious. A new survey finds Baby Boomers who do not have a financial advisor are twice as likely to feel �uncertain� about their retirement as those who do:
�Those without professional advice, has a tendency to have unrealistic estimates of what they need in retirement and save far less than those who seek guidance, actually, about half of what they should. They wait too long, save too little and expect too much. But those who get professional guidance are more confident, prepared and on-track.� Craig Brimhall of American Express Financial Advisors, which commissioned the survey, says Baby Boomers with a financial advisor are more likely to set accurate financial goals for income in retirement.
