Baby Boomers looking ahead see their retirement years as a time for learning and self-discovery, for reinventing themselves and for a new beginning.  According to a new survey by American Express Financial Advisors, three out of four boomers say they could learn more about retirement planning by talking to others, yet two-thirds admit they dont have a retirement role model:

Baby Boomers tell us they dont necessarily want their parents retirement and dont have a set path to follow.  But achieving an ideal retirement means that everyones path is going to be different.  The important thing is to decide what you want in this next phase of life and sit down with a financial advisor or coach who can help prepare that road map.  That way you can achieve your retirement goals, whatever they may be.

Craig Brimhall of American Express Financial Advisors says Boomers need to prepare both financially and emotionally for retirement.  A new web site with that focus to retirement planning can be found by logging on to get-advice-dot-com.
