Cox Interactive Media Promotes Tom Viall to Site Manager of OSO.com

PROVIDENCE, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Nov. 15, 2000--Cox Interactive Media (CIMedia) announced today that Tom Viall has been promoted to site manager of its Rhode Island Web site, Ocean State Online (OSO.com).

The announcement came from Stephen Becker, vice president of field operations.

Viall will manage OSO.com (www.oso.com), Southern New England`s most popular Web site (Media Audit) produced by CIMedia`s Providence, R.I., studio.

''Tom played a critical role in the start-up of OSO.com and has an excellent understanding of producing a useful, interactive online resource for Rhode Island residents,'' said Becker. ''Additionally, as a long-time resident of Rhode Island, Tom has a unique, local perspective on what`s important to people who live and work in Rhode Island. We believe strongly in promoting from within; Tom`s excellent leadership and team-building skills are ideally suited to his new position.''

Viall, formerly a senior producer for OSO.com, was part of the site`s original launch team since 1998. In that capacity, he was responsible for creating and editing OSO.com`s content programming. With an extensive commercial broadcasting background, Viall formerly worked as client services manager for WPRI/WNAC-TV, East Providence, R.I., where he led all in-house commercial production for several television stations. His previous positions also include serving as both production manager and commercial production coordinator for
WNAC-TV FOX 64, Rehoboth, Mass. He began his career as a producer and director for Cable TV of East Providence, Inc. Viall holds a B.A. from Rhode Island College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with dual majors in mass communication and film studies.
