Book travel or register on Orbitz from October 29 - November 18 for a chance to win
CHICAGO--(COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Oct 16, 2001--Smart travel shoppers are learning that the Internet is now the first place to look for inexpensive airfares and a great selection of flights. And from October 29 through November 18, there’s another great reason to go to the Internet for travel shopping. Orbitz (www.orbitz.com), the new full-service travel Web site with the most low fares, is offering a special promotion, Reconnect via Orbitz, and promotion winners will receive two free airline tickets.
“If you need to book a flight to go home for the holidays, for a winter ski trip, or even for spring break, check out Orbitz during this promotion,” said Monica Schneider, a graduate student at the University of Minnesota and a member of Orbitz’ Consumer Advisory Board. “Orbitz makes it easy to comparison shop for flights, thanks to the easy-to-read grid that displays your flight search results. On one page, you can see all of your options --- the best prices for flights on all of the airlines that fly where you want to go.”
From October 29 through November 18, by booking a flight, rental car, or hotel room on Orbitz, travelers will receive 100 entries into the drawing. Or consumers can receive 10 entries just by registering on the site. A winner will be chosen every hour during the promotion period. Each winner will receive two free airline tickets for round-trip travel in the 48 contiguous states. Winners can also donate their tickets to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses.
Orbitz has the most Web-only fares in one place on the Internet. Web-only fares are special fares that are so low, airlines used to publish them only on their own websites. Now they’re on Orbitz, too, so travelers don’t have to search myriad sites to compare prices.
The widest selection of great Web-only fares is available on Orbitz every day from many major airlines. But the best time to search for special Weekend Web-only fares is early every Wednesday morning. That’s when most airlines post Weekend Web-only fares and the best selection is available. Weekend Web fares, which depart on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday, and return on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday, are a great option for taking a last-minute trip home or to visit friends at other universities.
And while you’re searching on Orbitz, founded by American, Continental, Delta, Northwest and United, you can take care of all of your other travel needs as well - lodging, rental cars, cruises and vacation packages, and great destination information, too. For example, Orbitz’ cutting-edge search engine shows the most rental car options and prices of any travel site -- all on one easy-to-read grid.
Now there’s a full-service travel Web site - with the most low airfares and flights - www.orbitz.com.
