Yahoo! Sports Also Offering Men`s Tournament Pick`em Game, Real-Time Stats and Scoring, Expert Analysis, Chat, Messages Boards, and More

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Mar 7, 2002--Millions of fans stuck at work during this year`s men`s college basketball tournament can still experience the action and intensity, thanks to the Internet. Yahoo! Sports (https://sports.yahoo.com), one of the most trafficked sports sites on the Web, is featuring live full-game audio broadcasts from the men`s Division I tournament, synchronized with graphic-based real-time stats and scoring. As the largest single aggregator of college sports broadcasting on the Internet, Yahoo! Sports expects to make available live audio coverage from virtually every game in the men`s tournament.

New this year is the addition of commentary from Clark Kellogg, former Ohio State and NBA standout and now a well-known and respected basketball commentator for CBS Sports and the Indiana Pacers. Exclusive to Yahoo! Sports, fans can listen to Kellogg`s online insights and analysis throughout the tournament. Kellogg`s commentary will be available Sunday, March 10, immediately following the men`s Division I bracket selections, and then several times throughout the Division I tournament, culminating with his post-tournament analysis and recap.

''I`m very excited about teaming with Yahoo! Sports to complement the site`s breadth and depth of tournament coverage this year,'' said Kellogg. ''March is an great time for college basketball, and the Internet provides fans a tremendous way to stay in touch with all the action as it happens, whether at the office, at home or in between.''

Below is a summary of Yahoo! Sports` coverage of the men`s college basketball tournament:

-- Live Broadcasts: Fans can listen to full-game live audio broadcasts from virtually every game of the men`s tournament. Tournament Tracker lets fans switch between game audio feeds as well as to view real-time team stats and results.

-- Clark Kellogg Audio Commentary: Kellogg will offer his expertise on this year`s tournament, beginning with his insights into the brackets following the selection and bracketing announcement. Kellogg`s analysis will continue throughout the tournament, giving Yahoo! Sports basketball fans a keen awareness of what could happen on the hardwood.

-- Bracket Pick`em Game: Attracting over a half million players in 2001, Yahoo! Sports Men`s Tournament Pick`em Game allows fans to showcase their basketball knowledge (or luck) in predicting winning teams while competing against fans, colleagues and fellow alumni.

-- Full Court Coverage: Yahoo! Sports brings together up-to-the-minute coverage, match-ups, analysis and behind-the-scenes coverage from leading content providers such as the Associated Press, CNNSI.com, TheInsiders.com, Stats Inc., and The Sporting News.

-- Chalkboard Chatter: Fans can use Yahoo!`s extensive community tools, such as Yahoo! Chat and Yahoo! Message Boards, to commiserate with other fans, fellow alumni and rivals over tournament seedings, upsets, and more.

-- Wireless Alerts: No matter where they are, fans with Web-enabled phones can stay in touch with all the latest tournament scores and results.

Clark Kellogg, in his ninth year with CBS Sports` NCAA Men`s Basketball Championship coverage, joined CBS full-time in 1997 as studio/game analyst. During his tenure with CBS, Kellogg has served as game analyst for CBS Television Network`s NCAA Tournament coverage (1993-94) and as studio co-host of first-and second-round coverage (1994-97). He has co-hosted CBS Sports` Final Four coverage since 1997. Kellogg is also in his 13th season as television analyst for NBA`s Indiana Pacers, with whom he played for five seasons before retiring with chronic knee problems.
