It's the time of year when families everywhere are coming together to share special holiday meals.  Selecting a menu and wine for a group can be a little challenging, but Gina Gallo, third generation winemaker for award-winning Gallo of Sonoma Winery, has some suggestions:

One of my favorite holiday activities is hosting dinner for my family. I like to give my guests choices, so I usually serve a turkey and a roast beef tenderloin.  The tenderloin recipe has a special sauce, which has been passed down for generations, so it's really a family tradition.  It tastes delicious with our 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon, which has black cherry, currant and spicy flavors.  Our 2001 Chardonnay is a great match for the turkey because of its tropical peach and citrus flavors.  For our family, sharing good food, wine and company is the best way to celebrate the holidays.
