Join National Public Affairs and Issue Company of Ex-Senior Clinton Aide ... Read This If You Don`t Think Your Summer Internship Can Be Fun!

WASHINGTON--(COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--May 16, 2002--A public affairs and issue strategy company headed by a senior Clinton administration Public Affairs Director and former congressional communications chief Bob Weiner is looking for quality volunteer summer interns. Applicants must have a car - the headquarters is twenty-five minutes outside Washington adjacent to a national park, in a rural wooded area. While the deer run by, you’ll be devising and helping public affairs strategies for national issues and organizations including members of Congress, national attorneys’ groups, world sports agencies, health care rights supporters, efficient military systems advocates, and others.

You’ll also help organize press and participation at a company anniversary party on the Presidential Yacht used by Kennedy, Johnson, Ford, Nixon, and every President! Break from work in the office’s outdoor pool and Jacuzzi ... Lunch each day included.

Company President Bob Weiner served in the Clinton White House as Director of Public Affairs for the Drug Czar from 1995-2001. Earlier, he worked for U.S. Congressmen John Conyers (D-MI), Charles Rangel (D-NY), Claude Pepper (D-FL), Ed Koch (D-NY) before Koch was Mayor, and the Presidential and Senate campaigns of Ted Kennedy (D-MA). Bob’s first Washington position was as National Youth Vote Director for the Democratic National Committee at the Watergate during the famed 1972 Nixon-break-in of the headquarters. Weiner has directed the General Press Room for the last four Democratic National Conventions.

“If you like politics and action, this is a great opportunity,” Weiner said. “But you have to be fearless and organized to succeed. We deal with the top people in Washington, and I want someone who can be confident of himself or herself on the phone and in person. And you have to be willing to do whatever the workload requires - no pride attacks in making copies or press kits if that’s what we are doing that day! Most of all, I want someone who knows how to have fun while working because what we do is quite exciting - we are making a true difference,” Bob concluded.

Interested? Call Bob Weiner or Joe Hammer at 301-283-0821; or e-mail resume and brief note why you are interested to [email protected]. Or mail to Robert Weiner Associates Public Affairs and Issue Strategies, PO Box 28271, 1750 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC 20038-8271.
