SAN FRANCISCO--(COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Sep 3, 2003--Learning Technology Partners (LTP), a San Francisco based eLearning integration and outsourcing company, today announced one year of 100% uptime. Due to its proprietary monitoring technology and emphasis on network reliability and security, LTP was able to achieve one complete year of uninterrupted service for its IZIO users, setting a new standard in the eLearning platform industry.

It is so refreshing to see a company that really stands behind what it says. A lot of companies claim reliability and fail to deliver. Faculty and students who use IZIO are extremely pleased. They have had no interruption in service, which is unheard of in the eLearning industry. Now we know that it is definitely doable, said Patrick Huston, PhD, analyst.

LTPs cross-functional management team has more than four decades of outsourcing and eLearning experience. Since the acquisition of Convene in August 2002, LTP elevated reliability and availability to priority one, and its technology team improved maintenance procedures and implemented an elaborate proprietary monitoring system for utilization, anticipation of problems and load averaging. This system takes thousands of readings and makes thousands of calculations every hour to anticipate any early signs of potential failure and alarm all concerned support staff. Heading fast towards a new generation, this monitoring system will not only alert staff of potential problems, but will also correct most problems on its own. This self-healing system will be the first in the industry.

Because IZIO is an instructor-centric course management system and so easy to use, we dont have to spend time training our clients and getting them up and running. Instead, we are able to focus our efforts on product development, customer satisfaction, and network reliability and security. By setting this new standard, we are giving our peers something to strive for. Educational institutions need to know that their classrooms will be up and running 24 hours/day, 365 days/year. With LTP they know they will, said Reda Athanasios, President of Learning Technology Partners.

About IZIO

IZIO allows university staff to rapidly deploy course content on the Internet. By decreasing the amount of time spent on the administrative details of teaching a course, IZIO allows educators to spend more time inspiring and educating students. Administration is simple and intuitive, and hierarchical user levels allow multiple staff members to assist in course setup while maintaining a coherent and consistent online user interface. IZIO allows administrators to manage an entire program or school, much like an LMS would. With pre-scheduled delivery of any file type, easy-to-build survey and self-assessment tools, and peer discussion and chat groups, professors can choose to participate actively or allow the audience members to collaborate with and learn from one another. IZIO is an invaluable way for professors to help students get the most out of their academic experience.
