RENTON, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Oct 5, 2004--On October 16th, DUNGEONS & DRAGONS(R) fans everywhere will attempt to set a world record for the largest-ever game-play gathering in a global celebration of DUNGEONS & DRAGONS` 30th anniversary. Played by millions, D&D; has become a cultural icon since its introduction in the 1970s. Known as the first ''roleplaying'' game, D&D; has inspired a generation of game players and game designers and led to the development of many other board games, card games and video games.
