Twenty individuals have been recognized by the Northwestern Mutual Foundation as winners in this year�s Community Service Award Program. The annual competition is open to more than 79-hundred representatives of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network and recognizes exemplary volunteer involvement. In total, the Northwestern Mutual Foundation will be donating 215 thousand dollars to community service organizations across the country. Top winner, David Franczyk, from Milwaukee, who was recognized as the most exceptional volunteer for his work with the Rogers Memorial Hospital Foundation:
�It�s been an important part of my life over the last decade or so. I like to use a quotation from Marian Wright-Edelman who was the founder of Children� Defense fund. She said, �Service is the rent we pay for living� - I�ve kind of taken that to heart. I�ve been on the receiving end of service and now it�s my turn to give.�
As most exceptional volunteer, Franczyk will receive a 25-thousand dollar grant for his foundation. Each of the other 19 outstanding volunteers will receive 10-thousand dollar grants.
