The Federal Trade Commission recently charged the marketers of coral calcium supreme with making false claims about the product�s health benefits. Touted to treat or cure cancer and other diseases, the FTC charged that these and other claims go far beyond existing scientific evidence regarding the recognized health benefits of calcium.[ii] Medical experts advise you to choose your calcium supplement wisely.[iii] Robert P. �A high calcium intake is beneficial for osteoporosis risk reduction and may promote colon health [iv] Use a calcium supplement that has excellent quality control and good manufacturing practices, and scientific evidence to back up its claims. One way to ensure that you are meeting these criteria is to stick to the major labels.�
Despite false promises and a hefty price tag, there is no science to support the claim that calcium derived from coral has any advantage over other calcium supplements. [v]
