That person chatting away in the car next to you may not be on a hands-free cell phone after all.  A new survey from Yahoo! Autos has revealed that nearly seven out of ten people actually talk to their cars.  And similar to boats, most people consider their cars to be female.  Almost half of survey respondents believe their car is female with 28 percent saying its male.  Thats why Terra Carmichael of Yahoo! Autos says it looks like the car has become mans real best friend:

These days, people are spending more and more time in their cars so its really not surprising that they have more of a personal or emotional connection with their car.

The survey also found that just over half of us actually have a name for our car.  To take the daily poll, go to autos-dot-yahoo-dot-com.
