Cardinals� slugger Albert Pujols is the newest athlete honored on the cover of a Wheaties box. Pujols, a power-hitting first baseman, is entering his fifth year in the majors: he�s the only player in major league baseball history to bat over .300 with at least 30 homeruns, 100 R-B-I�s, and 100 runs scored in his first four seasons:
�This is an honor, I never thought of myself being on a Wwheaties box, to put my name among all the great players in the past, like Stan Musial, now its me and just seeing my name �that means everything to me, its just amazing.�
Pujols continues the tradition of honoring baseball greats on the cover of the Wheaties box, and he�s the first Cardinals player to be honored since Ozzie Smith. The limited edition 12-ounce packages of the Breakfast of Champions will be available nationally beginning this week.
