Gas prices got you down? Local carpool opportunities and information on hybrid cars are just some of the many things you can find online at a new website for eco-friendly information. To celebrate 35 years of Earth Day, Yahoo! has compiled a one-stop-shop for everything you need to be a better friend to the planet. From local information on where to find your nearest recycling center and organic farmers to facts about reusable grocery bags and eco-friendly landscaping, everything you need is now in one place and just in time for Earth Day on April 22nd. Srinija Srinivasan from Yahoo! says:
"We really wanted to draw on all the resources we have at Yahoo! to create a clearing house for people who are interested in ways to protect the planet. For example, I've learned that if every American used reusable grocery bags, we'd save 12 million barrels of oil per year. That's the kind of information we're highlighting for our users along with facts about renewable energy, socially responsible investing, eco-tourism, and much, much more."
