NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Jan 14, 2004--Movies.com (www.movies.com), a leading site for movie fans offering movie reviews, trailers and local show times to assist with making the right choice on movie night, today announced the first annual Top College Critics Competition for members of the Movies.com College Critics Association (CCA).

College critics are invited to enter the Top College Critics Competition by submitting a movie review that they wrote or recorded for a movie that was released theatrically in 2003. The review must have been published in print or online, or aired on radio. Submissions for the Competition are being accepted now; and all entries must be received by no later than January 30, 2004. Finalists will be notified on or about February 12, 2004. The grand prize winner will be announced on the finalists cruise with Roger Ebert and Richard Roeper in March 2004. The Movies.com editorial staff will be responsible for selecting the three finalists, based on the criteria of clarity and factual accuracy, critical style, and depth and breadth of cinematic knowledge. The three finalists will attend The Fourth Annual Ebert & Roeper Film Festival at Sea, a three-day film festival with Roger Ebert and Richard Roeper on board the Disney Wonder, sailing to the Bahamas March 11-14, 2004.
