According to a recent survey, nearly 70 percent of Americans want to do more to help the environment but most don't know where to start.  A new program called Strive for Five encourages homeowners to look for at least five easy things they can do in their own backyards.  Cherie Burns of Briggs & Stratton Corporation:

"Tuning up your lawn mower is one simple thing people can do to help keep the air clean.  A tune-up can actually cut emissions by up to 50 percent and make a lawn mower run better and last longer.  This year you can even get a free tree from Briggs & Stratton if you purchase one of our tune-up kits - so it's time to get that lawn mower tuned."

Planting a tree is another easy thing to do for the environment.  Trees help clean the air and provide environmental benefits for generations to come.   For more strive for five actions, information on lawn mower tune-up kits and the tree giveaway, visit w-w-w-dot-mower-tune-up-dot-com.
