Electronics are a necessity for the college student whether commuting in the car, for the dorm, out on the campus or in the classroom. Jack Wayman of the Consumer Electronics Association explains.
For commuting in the car, I suggest an upgraded audio system with CD and cassette, a hands free cell phone and a radar detector. For the dorm and campus, a notebook computer and a combination answering machine, fax, photocopier and a cordless phone that will reach around campus. For entertainment: a TV with DVD and a pocket-sized mp3 player. For the classroom: a palm-sized PDA, a combination handheld dictionary, encyclopedia, language translator and a shirt pocket voice recorder for lectures.
Wayman says students should be sure to preserve these college memories with a digital camera and camcorder.
