This years back-to-school trend forecast is calling for big color and super-retro designs. How retro?   Think mod 60s mini skirts, vintage varsity sweaters, and little plaid skirts.  Think 80s rocker girl with punked out colors and funky designs.  But it doesnt end there: the trucker look is all the rage with boxy-netted hats, flannel shirts and big boots - a la Ashton Kutcher.  Noted model, fashion consultant and trend correspondent for Mall of America Sara Rogers:

Guys are going to have a lot of fun shopping for jeans this year as theres lots of different options can go with lot of great accessories to achieve the look of the season, like the big hoop earrings youre seeing.  You can also go with a chain belt if youve already got a great pair of jeans or cargo pants that you just love.  I always recommend ladies updating their handbags and certainly you can see some of those out there.

Rogers says these new fashion trends can be easily incorporated into existing wardrobes by adding only a few key pieces.
