Nutritionists say a healthy diet should contain at least three servings of whole grains a day, which may prevent heart disease and some cancers. Whole grains also provide important complex carbohydrates essential for fueling the body and providing the energy for physical activity. Barb Lindquist, the number one female tri-athlete in the world, says when it comes to athletic performance, the benefits of whole grains are too important to pass up:
"Whatever mood Im in, Oroweat has a bread to satisfy my tastes, as well as meet my health and nutritional needs, because complex carbohydrates make up an essential part of my daily, well-balanced diet. In particular, Oroweats new natural breads give me all the nutrition that I need, not just racing a triathlon, but for the rest of life."
Oroweat is the official bread supplier of the 2004 U. S. Olympic team.
