You may never had heard of Googles dot com, a children's web site, where animated characters teach self-esteem and good values.  But it's been around even longer than Google dot com, the world-renowned search engine.  Now that the giant Google is expanding into the children's market, Googles dot com says the name confusion is scaring away investors and crippling its business.  Googles C-E-O Steve Eserick:

"Since the Google I-P-O was announced we've been stopped dead in our tracks."

The children's site, Googles was first to market, first to trade mark its name, first to register its web site.  Washington, D.C. trademark attorney Steve Sturgeon says this is a classic trademark infringement case:

"It' s a clear case where the small corporation had priority, they filed first.  Googles has definite rights against Google."

Googles C-E-O Steve Eserick says his company won't give in:

"This is a classic 'David and Goliath' case.  We clearly have right on our side and we're not going to let Google put us out of business."
