Surveys show that electronics are garnering a larger share of back to school and college spending, as they have become an integral part of academic success. Jack Wayman of the Consumer Electronics Association offers some suggestions:
"For the classroom: a palm-sized computer, a shirt pocket voice recorder and a talking language translator, dictionary, encyclopedia and thesaurus. For the dorm: a notebook computer, a 5-way telephone answering machine, scanner, photo copier and fax machine; a long-range cordless phone, a T-V/D-V-D combo and a mini audio system. For the campus: an m-p-3 player that downloads music from the internet and a multi-function wristwatch. For the commuter: an advanced car audio system, a hands free cell phone and a laser radar detector."
Wayman says dont forget to take along a digital camera and camcorder to preserve those college memories.
