Americans have a profound belief and trust in the jury system, thats according to a public opinion poll just released by the American Bar Association.  Despite the strong support, courts around the country report a serious problem with low response rates for jury duty.  Incoming A-B-A President Robert Grey:

Serving on a jury and voting are important opportunities all Americans have in the work of our democracy.  We must work to translate the strong support for the jury system into active participation.

Grey, a lawyer from Richmond, Virginia, pledges to spend his year as president of the nations largest lawyers organization speaking on behalf of American jurors.
