How can an insurance company provide its customers with more value for their premium dollars?  Firemans Fund Insurance has an idea.  The national insurance firm has announced the first-ever alliance with the American Society of Appraisers, a professional appraisal organization to improve consumer service.  ASA President Gene Kaczowski says the new alliance will provide enhanced protection for thousands of consumers:

This is a win-win situation. As a result of the alliance, agents will be able to help their customers quickly locate experts for appraising their jewelry, watercrafts, art, antiques and other collectibles.

ASA members represent all appraisal disciplines. ASA, an international professional society, provides valuation education, testing, and a rigorous accreditation process and refers over 25,000 consumers annually to accredited appraisers world wide. ASA accredited appraisers must pass several exams and adhere to national standards, a code of ethics and strict report writing requirements.
