According to industry experts, consumer interest in digital cameras is skyrocketing; 2003 was the first year digital cameras out sold traditional cameras.  Now just in time for summer picture-taking season, America Onlines digital photo service, Youve Got Pictures, has launched a brand new feature Home Printing.  Jeff Hooker of America Online:

As a leading online photo service, we know from listening to our members that digital camera owners not only want to be able to view images instantaneously and easily share them with friends and family, they also want to be able to conveniently print pictures at home. Our new home printing feature addresses that factor by giving members and their friends and family the freedom to use their home computers as a digital dark room.  Home printing is just another way we are continually enhancing the Youve Got Pictures service to keep in step with our members evolving interests and to deliver innovated solutions to best enjoy digital photography.

The new feature comes at a time when an increasing number of A-O-L members and other digital camera owners are opting to print their pictures at home.  According to a recent  A-O-L  Youve Got Pictures online photo survey, 70 percent of respondents print their pictures at home.
