If you eat more at breakfast, youre less likely to overeat during the day.  That's the result of a study published in the current issue of the Journal of Nutrition.  Researchers from the University of Texas examined the eating habits of almost 900 adults and found that those who ate a good breakfast ended up eating as many as 200 calories less during the day.  In fact, research shows that women who frequently eat a bowl of cereal for breakfast weigh, on average, nine pounds less.  Registered Dietitian Gayle Reichler says over time that can result in significant weight loss:

Its extremely exciting that something so easy can lead to big results.  So if youre on the go, you dont know what to eat just have some whole grain cereals, skim milk, fruit. It sounds like a lot, but it will actually help you eat less throughout the day if you have it in the morning.

Low fat and low calorie choices include such cereals as Cheerios, Wheaties and Total.
