A recent study published in the International Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics found that an Omega-3 fatty acid called Docosahexaenoic Acid, or D-H-A, restores normal blood vessel function in children with high cholesterol. The study concludes that D-H-A has the potential to help prevent early coronary heart disease in these high risk children.  Doctor Marguerite Engler is the study�s lead investigator:   

�Our findings are the first to suggest that supplementation with D-H-A may actually improve vascular health in children with high cholesterol who are really at high risk for early heart disease.  There�s increasing evidence that D-H-A is good for your heart at all ages. But unfortunately, because D-H-A is found only in certain foods like salmon and tuna, Americans have among the lowest dietary intakes of D-H-A  in the world.�
