According to a recent survey, 95 percent of Americans are unfamiliar with what Endodontists do. Doctor Sandra Madison is president of the American Association of Endodontists:
"With four years of dental school and up to three additional years of specialized training, endodontists are uniquely qualified to perform root canals. Not surprisingly, 85 percent of patients who have had a root canal performed by an endodontist would return to an endodontist for future care."
