Suggested Anchor Lead-in: There�s good news today for the millions of Americans who suffer from Social Anxiety Disorder and NFL star Ricky Williams is helping spread the word.  John Driden has more.
 
Today the FDA approved Paxil CR, the first and only controlled release SSRI, or Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor, for the treatment of Social Anxiety Disorder.  Paxil CR provides efficacy and is generally well tolerated so that patients may stay on treatment.  Ten million Americans suffer from Social Anxiety Disorder and for many a combination of therapy and medication effectively manages the condition but, many stop taking their medication due to side effects.  In a recent study, most patients taking Paxil CR were able to remain on their medication.  NFL star Ricky Williams suffered from Social Anxiety Disorder for many years:
