Summers almost over and families are getting ready for back to school. What do kids need most to help them succeed in the classroom? Up to date eyewear because 80 percent of learning comes through the eyes, kids who cant see well have difficulty in school. Along with correcting vision, good eyewear should also protect against U-V rays to ensure healthy vision. Pediatric optometrist Doctor Madeline Romeu says parents should get early eye exams for their kids and then let the kids choose the coolest frames and lenses:
In our recent clinical study we found that ninety percent of kids preferred Transitions Lenses over regular, clear lenses, and 61 percent of their friends liked the photo-chromatic glasses over regular lenses.
Transitions Lenses change from light to dark to block 100 percent U-V rays. And Doctor Romeu says if the kids think their lenses are cool, theyre more likely to wear them.
